We are a quite normal German family!
Or maybe not? Because one thing distinguishes us from the so-called average. We have had the courage to bring six children into this world. Six children who are healthy and well, with God's blessing.
Children who have a future.
What has our family done to deserve the happiness of growing up under these excellent circumstances? A vacation trip away, the future of our children would look very different. This realization was our motivation to change something. First we decided to support a "godchild". While searching for the best institution to do this, we came across Plan International Deutschland e.V.
Having our own foundation would probably never have occurred to us on our own. The impetus came via the Plan website, where there were already many "pioneers". Everything went so easily and quickly that we soon established the Schönebeck Foundation "Future for Children". With this foundation, we now have an excellent framework for concentrating our own help and that of our friends and acquaintances on specific projects. Our work for the Foundation is entirely voluntary. We keep our administrative expenses low by working closely with the foundation center in Munich.
In this way, we ensure that the aid reaches where it is needed with the greatest possible effectiveness in order to give as many children as possible a piece of the future.
